This may be a dumb question, but in setting up my wife's new a630, I find canon's user's guide and the camera's menus to be too cryptic about reolution settings. I want to be able to minimize compression - think I"ve figured that out - and want to be able to easily switch picture taking resolution between 4 or 5MP and say full 8MP. Unlike our other cameras (Fuji and Panasonic) that clearly label resolution choices, canon has chosen dumbed-down graphics instead and use "recording pixels" as the descriptor. Can anyone help me clearly identify the equivalent megapixel setting for each recording pixel setting?

PS - FWIW, I'm surprised that the histogram is available after taking the picture instead of when taking it.
