I am intrested in a Canon S70 or S80, but want the best results in the photo, not necessarily in the camera. I want a dependable camera, but I want good photos at 100 iso and 400 iso. The reviews I have read say the s80 is better. Is this true?
Any quirks in either camera?

Hi, I have the S70 and am very pleased with it. The improvements that the S80 brings is a larger, brighter LCD, a faster processor and slightlly more pixels, though I doubt you could tell the difference in image quality. What it leaves out is RAW files, which you may or may not miss. Personally I don't use RAW anyway. The LCD is what would tip me towards the S80. The S70 is a "stealth" matt grey and feels very solid which I like.
