I want to get feedback on other's experiences buying good replacement batteries.

I want to buy a NB-4L spare battery, but I don't want to pay $50 for it. Does anyone have any experience buying batteries at a discount, and having them last a decent amount per charge?

Buying batteries off eBay sellers from Hong Kong don't seem to pay off. I can pay $5 for each batt, but they last 30 shots or less before needing a recharge.

I found a new Canon NB-4L from a US seller for $20 plus $5 shipping. I never had very good luck with any of the off brands, so I just kept looking till I found the right deal on e-bay.

I got my Canon replacement batteries at Newegg.com. They usually have several to choose from (generic and Canon brand).

I got the SEDEC brands and they seem to be working fine.

I noticed Adorama has a replacement generic which is cheaper than the original, and that company is dependable.
