Default rant: Poor Canon Build Quality

I ended up going through 5 S230s and the one I settled on is still flawed.

Some of the ones I had the seams on the metal case didn't match up, they looked like they were pried with a crow bar. One of the cameras had a imperfection on the lense even thought it didn't show up in the pictures and all of the cameras the Eye viewfinder, the glass had scratches, drings, bubbles. The one I settled on the view finder has scratches or some type of liquid/oil on the bottom half that if you look through the view finder makes the bottom out of focus.

I just gave up and took what I got figuring how often do you actually use the optical view finder.

Rhein, are you buying used camera's. If not, the manufacturer should replace them at no charge.
