Hello Everyone,

I just bought an A560 (doesn't have image stabilization capability).
It takes great videos but you really have to have a steady hand or mount it on a tripod to get smooth videos.

My question is for those with experience with the A570 IS. Does the IS function work when you are shooting videos, or just for still images? How well does it work?
Any thoughts or comments on this would be appreciated.

I have a A710IS, but Canons being Canons, I'll assume it works the same. Yes, IS works in movie mode... in fact, I'd say that IS does a better job with videos than it does with still pictures. Still not as good as a tripod, but it really helps with the jittery unprofessional-looking shake you get with handheld videos.

I have a steady hand and can shoot stills at quite slow speeds without IS, but I can't maintain that steadiness with videos.
