I have a Sanyo Xaxti CG6 digital camera/camcorder anda 3yr old Canon A75 digicam. I like the video capture of CG6 (1hr 30 mins on a 2GB card) but the the pictures don't compare to A75s image quality. Was wondering if there is a Canon digicam out there that records video in mpeg4 format.I know there are others out there like the Casio Exilims but i liked canon's crisp and vivid pictures better. So if it can record videos and more minutes/memory that will be very ideal. If not, i guess my current set-up would be good enough.

For some reason, Canon have an aversion to highly compressed formats such as mpeg4, h264 etc. I along with others was hoping the TX would be their first, but sadly no. It can't just be for quality purposes. I use a Canon A640 which like all Canons uses an MJPEG format and the video doesn't look any better to me for most purposes than my Sanyo C40. Even if the quality is a little better, the tradeoff between 50 minutes per GB and 11 minutes is not one I am willing to make in this type of device.
