Which of the above is better and why?
I was thinking of getting the Panasonic Dmc-fx50 but I feel that the Canon's are better suited to my needs because they have a viewfinder.
The build quality of both cameras seems identical.

I'm open to your opinions both pro and con.

In the end I'm looking for a good all around camera that I plan on keeping for a long time.

Please answer ASAP as I want to purchase camera soon.

Thanks for your help.

The best feature of the sd 800 is its 28 MM wide angle. Wide is more important than tele.
