I just purchesed a A720, and would like to know which SD card overall would be best for the camera. Would the Ultimat III benifit me over Ultra II, and do I need more than 2GB. I will be going on vacation, and will take about 1000 high res shots. Thanks

There are so many choices available but I've never heard of any camera that required anything faster than Sandisk Ultra 2. I've used them for years with zero problems. I use the 3GB cards in my a710 for video and stills.

2GB cards hold a lot but if I were buying a new card I'd get the 4GB SDHC card from Blue Proton, sold by Amazon. It comes with a reader and gets excellent reviews. It's $44. When I'm ready for another card, that will be it. I would also recommend a spare card in case you run into a situation where you don't have the time or the inclination to download your pictures. Also keep in mind that if you take videos, they use a ton of memory
