Have had a S2 IS for a couple years, and am looking for my next camera. Gave some thought to the S5 IS, but the reviews I've read seem to indicate that the chipset was tweaked between the S5 and the SX100, and so the SX100 on average has somewhat better image quality. Add in the cheaper price tag and the ability to carry it in my pants pocket, and I'm thinking the SX100 might be the better choice.

The biggest complaint I have with my S2 is it's auto focus. In macro mode it's next to impossible to get the auto focus to work (yellow is not my favorite color), and I've never been able to get the manual focus to work well with my bifocals :-)

How is the autofocus on the SX100 in macro? More of the same? Better? Or would that be the one reason to look at the S5 again?

Thanks in advance,
