On the Canon Powershot, you can zoom in on the photo you are reviewing, once the photo is saved in the memory. Is there a way to SAVE the new photo that you have enhanced?

Zooming in on your shot during review does not change your shot, it just lets you zoom in and move around to different areas of your picture to determine your success in getting areas of interest properly focused and exposed.

It can help you determine whether to delete that shot and take another, but you cannot save just the area you have zoomed in on. You seem to be thinking you are cropping your image in the camera, and then wanting to save that cropped image. Some Powershots will let you downsize the original image, and then let you save the downsized image to a new file. You still have the original picture (not cropped), but in a lower number of pixels.

You can download your images to your computer, and then crop images to contain only the areas you want to save from the photo, but this is not done in your camera.

hope this helps explain the process,
