Peopleoften gripe about poor Customer Service on forums.I want to relate an opposite experience. My wife's Canon A70, 3.2MP camera stopped taking pictures and a black and purple image appeared on the LCD.I e-mailed Canon askingfor an estimate of repair cost. My wife loves the camera and has refused to get a newer version.Canon replied therewas a problem with a vendor part in some cameras. Theysent me a UPS label and instructionsfor shipping to a service center. A couple of days later,I got a message it was fixed and on the way back by courier. They even gave me a tracking reference. No charge for the repair, free shipping both ways and like new performancefrom a camera that wasalmost 5years old and out of warranty for four. Thank you Canon - great job.

Same here, 5yo A70, sensor replaced by Canon Australia, no charge. I just hope the colour reproduction of the new sensor is as good as the old one.
