How does the TX1 go with CHDK firmware enhancement and video? I am finding it difficult to get a grip on what the Tx1 is capable of, and this project in general.

Is it possible to get higher data-rates (other cameras are doing around 50mb/s) 10 bit video images, or 24/25/50/60fps and lower noise?

For those not familiar with it, it is software that enables certain canon models to do Raw, High Dynamic Range, increased quality or reduced sized video, motion detection and a long list of others including stereo image recordings.

Here is a nice little article on it:

For the technically minded people, here is a list of links on relevant information:

There's not a lot it can do for video.
You can adjust compression and bitrate, but not fps. With the ability to set ISO and aperture, you can get better low light video.

Shame, if we could get 25fps or 50fps it would be much better at 100mb/s.

Is there any information on what they have found on the TX1?

I read your comments on the TX1 true video resolution elsewhere. How come it can't do 1280*720, because this should be possible considering the higher resolution of the sensor?

I hope the TX2 has 720p50 at 50-100Mb/s+ with the new Jpeg replacement (h264 or wavelet).
