I am finally processing my first set of photos with my new G10. I mostly take pictures of land so most of my photos have a fair amount of sky in them. I have left all of the settings to full auto.

I am noticing 3 faint vertical stripes in the blue sky of all of my photos. Time of day did not change this. Neither did light as I take photos north, south, east, and west at each site. The stripes disappeared at the point the photo hit the ground with its darker shades.

Has anyone else seen this in their G10?

Thank you for your help or thoughts.

No, my G10 has been flawless for going on four months. I wonder if you notice the stripes with the camera held upside down ? And maybe taking some shots of a white sheet of paper inside will confirm if something is up. You've discounted any weird reflections etc by taking shotsover 360 degrees. Try some shots on the "P" setting. I hope you don't have a clunker, as that's pretty disappointing with a new camera. I haven't noticed any similar concerns posted since buying my camera. I doubt the lens is dirty, but who knows ? Orthe sensordamagedby a full sun shot ?

Good luck, Steve
