Default Canon A480 vs Canon A1000 IS

Hi guys... I really need to buy a new camera....

I finally briefed my preferences to two cameras

1) Canon A480
2) Canon A1000 IS

i want your help to select the proper one and I need to know urgent because i have to buy that tomorrow itself...

main points i want are.

1) Should have good macro performance..
2) Good image quality

Both cameras are 10MP and in terms of physical apperance , I guess A1000 is more appealing.. Also it does have a viewfinder.. ( Does this matter ?)...

please help me out !! thanks !!
