Default What's better than an A-80?

I have been researching digital cameras quite a bit because I plan on buying one around Christmas. I looked at the nikon cool pix for awhile then the sony mavica then the A-70 but I am really starting to favor the A-80 because of the lcd screen and higher megapixel count. Although I have heard that the camera is ahead of its time in every aspect accept for its movie mode. The movie portion is not extremely important but it is something that I would enjoy and use. Is there a camera as good as the A-80 in the same price range that is just as good but takes better video? Thanks for the help.
