Default Problems with Canon A430

I have an old Canon A430 that worked fine untill a few days ago. While taking some pictures it started to take some realy wired ones. I posted 2 of them here so you can take a look.

Some of them are almost black, like they have a find egdes filter and the others have these stripes all over.

Do you think there is something a can do? Or should i just buy a new one.

Well... when I see those types of horizontal lines in an image, that usually indicates a failing sensor. Some Canon models had recalls on their sensors, due to a bad batch of Sony CCDs that tended to fail at a higher rate when being used in more humid environments.

But, I don't see a Service Bulletin for your model (no free repair from what I can tell).

You may want to try a different set of batteries in it, as some times battery current or voltage problems can cause issues. But, it's probably a failing sensor.
