Default Worst temperatures for S400?

I live in Canada so the weather here ranges from extreme heat to extreme cold... but I would like to use my camera in both the winter and summer!

I was unable to find the information, so does anyone know at what temperature it starts becoming a risk to the camera (Both cold and hot)???

I also live in a place where the temperature can go extremes. The manual says, if my memory is correct, that the working temperatures are from 0C to +40C. Any digital camera will work beyond this range, at least for a while, and about the only serious problem in this case is condensation. The camera won't die right away, but won't serve long either. There were many posts about that in this forum. The outline is keep your camera in an air tight plastic bag when you move it from cold to a warm place and leave it warm up slowly. The best probably would be to keep it under your coat when going outside and to take it out only for taking shots. I don't think the heat is really a problem, just don't leave it under the direct sunlight.

0C is the lowest prolonged use temperate. I also live in Canada .. and have used digital cameras in all sorts of cold conditions. Keep it inside your coat (or trouser pockets) until you need to use it. Don't leave it dangling around outside in -20C temps. Battery life deminishes with the cold as well .. so carry some spares with you.
