Default SX120 moon shots?

I have a cousin who has the SX120. She hasn't been happy with the moon shots she has gotten (used auto mode). I went on Flickr to look at moon shots taken with the SX120. I looked at the exif data and tried to help by telling her to use some of the settings listed on the exif data I looked at. The thing is, I don't know if I was that helpful. I was wondering, what are some good settings to use for the SX120 to get some decent moon shots? I will then pass on the info. Thanks in advance!

Ask her to take pictures on the manual mode and reduce the shutter speed to 1/800 or something. As you keep reducing the shutter speed you can see the details on the moon. The manual mode on canon cameras is wonderful. It actively shows the preview of the picture as you change the settings.
