Default Stitching with Sx50

I know that the SX50 HS does not do in-camera stitching, but does it allow me to tag the shots I want to stitch later on my computer? If so how does allow me to identify those shots?
Thanks

Could you not just re-name the said images in the uploaded folder and then regardless of what program you're using to stitch- open the folder and file a,b,c or 1,2,3 etc would be easy to spot...

I would be guessing - but I expect that within the canon-viewer that came with the camera, is a 'favourites' index key, along with a 'stitch-set' index key for your later use

I think Simon's method might be easier, as you can do this anywhere in the computer and you do not need to load the canon viewer software

Regards, Phil

The images need to be renamed as they are taken, otherwise they get lost amongst the dozens or hundreds of shots and it is difficult to identify them days or weeks later when uploading to the computer. I have computer software that does the stitching if I can identify the images.

An older Canon ELPH of mine had a "stitch mode" setting that would give them a stitch a, stitch b, stitch c... name, but my current ELPH does not have a simple way to identify the stichables as I shoot them.

Just wondering if the SX40/50 have an easy way to flag the images I wish to stitch. Haven't bought the camera yet, this is part of the shopping process.

Thanks for your replies.

It does have in camera stitching assist, so you should be able to easily identify those photos...
