Default Exposure problem on Canon G2

I have a new black G2. It exposes correctly in low light conditions but in normal daylight the pictures are almost completely white.

Am I doing something stupid? Does anyone else have experience with this problem?

What mode are you taking your picture with the new G2? the way you describe you problem looklike you are accidently over exposure some how, may be in the manual mode... Can you take it to your local camera shop and ask them to check it out for you or refer to the camera manual instructions for help?. If it's not the over exposure problem, I think you probably got the defective one and it need to be replaced or exchanged under Canon guaranty policy. Canon G2 is a very good consumer digicam in the 4megapix category, plus the new black finish looking, it got to look very cool...
