Default About Canon S1 IS

I know that the optical zoom can be used during the movie mode with the S1 IS, but can the digital zoom also be used (I think you can with the DiMage Z2)?

Also, does anyone know when the S1 IS will start showing up in stores? It's released in April, but when in the month will it finally be selling?

And lastly, I have researched just about everything on the web about the Canon S1 Is and the DiMage Z2. These are the two cameras I am torn between, but I think I will give in to the S1 IS since the pictures I have seen it take look amazing and it seems like a high quality camera. The only downside is the 3.2 megapixel CCD, but I guess that's OK. The nice thing about the S1 IS is that it's compatible with the supercheap 4 gig Hitach microdrive which will be nice since I would like to do some movie recording with it. If anyone at this point has any advice for me between these two cameras or another telephoto camera, please tell!

Thanks
