Default Consumer Reports ~ rates Canon A80 lower than Kodak?

Just wondering what your take is on this. I was very surprised to see in the May issue of CR they are rating the Kodak DX6490 and DX6440 both higher than the Canon A80 (4.0 mp category). They rated the Canon as having 'very good' picture quality while the Kodak's received 'excellent' photo quality.

How do you think they came to this conclusion and do you think it's accurate? I always heard Canon was the best.

I dont even look at kodak anymore cause they always compress their images to the extreme.....they have some cameras that look almost perfect but when the lowest compression they offer it like 10:1 or worst its not even worth thinking of. Pictures look like crap with such high compression (at least grass and small details and such).

But who knows, maybe they have some camera with normal compression, but I doubdt it
