in search of how i might fix my camera, i ran across a firmware update on the internet for the s230. has anyone done this to their s230? i'm kinda scared to update the firmware on my camera - but at this point, it sucks for taking outdoor pictures. it can only be used for indoor pictures at this time. thanks. oh, the link that i found for the firmware updatre is www.canon.co.jp/Imaging/PSS230/PSS230_Firmware4-e.html

i appreciate any feedback.

Do the upgrade, it won't hurt the camera just follow the instructions...not that hard. It will fix some of the problems the first firmware had problems with I upgraded my firmware without a hitch. Once you do one the rest are easy.
