The G6 in my opinion would be a nice back-up for my300D.I know Canon's optics are hard to beat.

But here are a couple of reasons why I would be interested in the Sony DSC-V3.

You can shoot it in TIFF as wellas Jpg & RAW.The Minolta S404 I had & gave to my son can be usedto write in TIFF Files.

It is Black.Black should be easier on the eyes when out in bright sun trying to look at the LCD screen!

Zeiss lenses are some of the Best!

Purple fringing? I have never experienced that problem with my S404 or my 300D.

But it doesn't havethe swivel or flip out viewfnder.

Who knows? This could be interesting.Just thinking . . . .
