I just want to letyou know of my experience

Here we were inPort Douglas, Australia (for the un-initated it is a small town north of Cairns on the West Coast of Australia - in the tropics) waiting to be picked up from the hotel to go to the Great Barrier Reef.

I had a spare, recharged Canon Battery for the Camera. It was untried, bit I didnt give it a second thought.

All I can remember is inserting the battery and switching the camera on. There was nothing. My first thought was, I'ts a dud since I had just bought it the week before, re-charged it but not tested it.

I spent an hour trying to get it out to, to no avail andhad to buya disposable camera.

Later that evening, when I was back at the hotel I realised I had put the battery in the wrong way. My wife and I spent at least another hour trying to get the battery out.

To say the battery fit is tight is understatement and I thought the rest of my holiday was ruined in the photography department

We finally got the battery out with a combination of a nail file and tweezers. To this day, it seems incredible that we did it, since the gap between the camera case and the battery is very narrow.

Just thought I would share that'What the h*ll have I done" moment with you.

The bottom line is - watch what you are doing
