I turned my canon G1 on and after a few minutes itsuddenly lost all [highlight= #88ff88]power. Thelens was extended at the time and did not retract when this happened. I tried using the plugging it in to an AC adapter and still nothing - lens still extended and no [highlight= #88ff88]power, not even the charging indicator light. I've tried two different batteries. What's up with my canon?? How do I fix it??

Thanks, Erick

Check out my posts under "Powershot G2 Locked up, no power". Most likely the same problem - a blown fuse. My G1 did the same thing. I sent it to Canon and the cost is about $180.00 to repair. Just about what it's worth if it was working.
