I recently bought a S60 to replace my stolen S45 and I love it except for the movie feature, 640x480 at 10 fps is unwatchable and 320x240 is just really small and still only 15 fps. I'm considering trading it in for the SD300. I know it's only 4 MP, but how do you think the picture quality compares? What other drawbacks, pros and cons do you think their are in this comparison? Thanks.

Well, S60 has better picture quality... But my advice to you is that you should watch pictures of both cameras and compare, if you can't see the difference or if you barely see it, then there's no need to bother with what others think.

It seems like video recording is important for you. Size seems to also be important. The SD300 is a good choice, I wouldn't worry too much about the number of MP, with 4, u can make great prints at 8x10. But since you are interested in video recording, I'd suggest looking at some Sony cameras, depending on how many manual controls you want, it might be a good way for you to widen your choices. With that being said, the SD300 offers interesting results considering its size, its also very fast.

As for the S60, if I am not mistaken it is one of the camera with the best image quality among the 5mp cameras, so even if the SD300 doesn't offer as good image quality, it doen't mean the SD300's image quality is poor.
