Hello to everybody.

I usually shoot:

a) human portraits, both indoor and outdoor, most often very close, but also a few group pictures and close-up animal pictures;
b) pictures of sports events, most usually of moving subjects (typically running, but sometimes faster);
c) macro pictures of bugs and flowers;
d) sometimes, but not very often, landscapes.

Considering all of the above, would a Canon Powershot S2 IS be a good choice for me? Note that I need a long zoom because of point b), otherwise my current Oly C-50Z would be perfectly fine. I have heard that UZ are worse than compacts while shooting landscapes, is that actually true?

Also, is it very portable? I saw it and handled it, butusing it is another thing.

(this is a short summary of a longer post I wrote in the "what can I buy" forum, I hope I will have more answers from Canon users here)
