After 1 day with my S2, I know I need a bigger SD card. I can get 1GB "regular speed" for about the same price as 512mb 60x.

What are the limitations I will have if I have "regular" SD card.

640x480 30fps video would be nice, but not a priority for me. I will mostly be shooting at 5mp, since I wil have space to waste. I dont realy see a difference between normal and superfine compression, so will almost always be using normal compression. Being able to use the continuous shooting modes would also be nice.

The 1GB size will come in handy when I go on holiday for a week or more at a time, without any means to backup my pictures.

I've today ordered the Canon S2 with a 512mb Sandisk Ultra SD card. I contemplated buying a standard 1gb card but think it is a better idea to buy 2 512mb cards. The reason being that should something happen to the 1gb card (and it does happen) then I'd be at a complete loss. I priced it up and it works out around £5-£10 extra to buy 2 512mb cards rather than the 1gb card.

Worth thinking about.

I bought the Trascend 80x 1gb card from newegg for a little over $70 shipped. AMAZING card.
