I just bought a Canon S80 - a great deal from Dell for $443.00 shipped. Can someone give me some advice about the best SD card for this model? I am looking at Sandisk Ultra II 1GB, but would this card help performance or doesn't it matter? If I can get away with a regular Sandisk, they are cheaper. Thanks.

Hey Justinian,

I just bought an S80 and use a 1.0GB Ultra II SD card. If you look at the following link: http://reviews.cnet.com/4520-6451_7-6296352.html

and here: http://reviews.cnet.com/4520-6451_7-....html?tag=icon

you'll see that a faster card is recommended for the S80. I did try my S80 with both a Sandisk SD card (normal speed) and an Ultra II. The Ultra II did allow the camera to have better shot to shot performance time.

I bought my Ultra IIcard online from E Bay and it was about 1/2 of what I would pay at a bricks and mortar retailer.
