I'm thinking of getting a Canon A510 and also considering the 3rd party tele &/or wide angle lenses that are available. The ones that i have seen need an adapter but just slip on. Do they work well enough to be worth $75 each?

Thanks in advance for your input. - d

Ive read a few problems with this style and the usual problems are batteries or some weird battery connection problem. And the E18 error from the lense getting jammed.

The fix for the E18 error os to tear the whole camera down and clean the guide track the lense moves in and out in. It gets dusty or somthing and kind hangs up. I think this adaptor and filter set could kinda protect the moving parts inside the lense mechanisim. If you look at the kit it completly surounds and covers the whole thing even when its extended. IMO this is a good thing

I think im gona pick one up just for this reason. The filters may be cool to play around with also.
