Default S230 LCD Preview & Movie Modes

I noticed that when I pointed the camera at a light source that there is a beam of blue light that originates from the light blulb on the LCD screen. When taking pictures it disappears with/out the flash, but when I shoot in the movie mode the blue beam is recorded on the clip as well. I emailed Canon and still waiting for reply. Does any of you have this problem? Is it on all the cameras or just a couple??

Please reply, return period is about out for the camera.

Thanks :?
