just bought this cam few days ago. been having a problem with red eye. with in door shots. i use the came on auto, with the red eye on, and the flash set to auto

i also have the same problem with some of my photos taken from my A610 on some indoor shots of mine. anyway, it can be fixed wid Photoshop

Sometimes it can be the eyes of one individual, while others may never have the problem. If you can't get the flash further awayfrom the camera the redeye effect will always be a possibility. Note the fact no maker calls the feature "redeye elimination",because elimination is impossible when you place a flash tube as close to the axis of the lens as what you have with a compact camera. Redeye reduction will always be a crap shoot with a point & shoot camera with a built-in flashunit- always, end of story.I have seen some compactmodelstoday that feature the ability for in-camera fixing of redeye, but again I do not think evenit is 100% effective.
