A610 manual focus, and macro mode

After downloading the manual for the A610 another question has popped up. Is it possible to use manual focus in macro mode? One button sets both of these options, and it isn't clear from the manual whether this can be done.

Well I answered the question myself by buying the A610 and trying it out. Must have been a reason for being indecisive over the purchase for the last couple of weeks - the store had a one day only special at $AUD50 off. I'm very impressed with the camera.
