I am having a problem with the camera transfering the photos from the camera to the computer. I plugged the cord into the computer and then got a power surge error on that port and since then cannot get the photos off the camera. I've tried other camera's on the port and they work fine(cord does not fit my camera). The camera takes pictures fine and stores them with no problem. I'm thinking I need a new cord, cannon wants me to sent the camera in for repairs? problem is I leave for vacation in 3 weeks (reason I bought the camera 6 months ago) Any suggestions?

Thanks, Annette

Have u tried using a card reader? I make a habbit of that.. It's cheaper to get a new card if damaged.. than fix a usb port on a camera from overuse..lol.. I think it's safer for both camera and computer too.
