Does anyone know what a good ISO setting is? I don't know much about what this means or does. In P mode it's at 50 default, so I've been using that, don't know what it uses in auto mode. Is there one setting I can use for everything? Or is a certain setting good for action shots etc?

thanks for any help. Camera is an A610

The lower the ISO, the better it is. But sometimes, you need to increase the ISO to make the photo brighter.
In AUTO mode, as it says, it chooses that it feels like, depending on the lightning.

So, use lowest ISO as much as possible....if the photo doesnt come out right, photoshop to increase brightness.
