Hey guys,
I have been trying to figure out over the last few days what the main differences are between the SD600 and the A540. On the surface, they appear to be the same camera, just the SD600 is considerably smaller.

Are there any other differences? The A540 is around $50 cheaper where I live.

Pretty sure the SD600 lacks the manual control the A540 has. The A540 has a 4 x zoom instead of a 3 x and not sure if the SD600 can take add on filters and lens convertors. SD600 does have a higher res screen though.

Must be more differences so go to Canon website where u can select both cameras and compare side by side
