A relative recently purchased an S3 for family photos. I owe them a gift and would like to give them a wide-angle adapter for easier indoor shooting. I doubt they have any accessories other than whatever's included with the camera.

What's an affordable converter that will still deliver good quality under indoor lighting? I don't have any specific factor or speed in mind. I just know how much more convenient having that extra field of view can be when there's no room to back up.

Do I need to get an adapter as well, or would this have come with the camera? I could use a recommendation here as well.

Thanks for any help!

You need to buy the adapter as well to mount filters and addon lenses.

Have a read over at http://www.lensmateonline.com/newsite/S2.html

There are various wcons tested see the link about half way down the page.

Thanks...but none of the image thumbs are coming up for me. There aren't any prices listed with the comments, which makes it even harder to judge relative worth.

Is there one converter in particular that people prefer? One that gives better performance than its normal price would indicate?

Did you try this link?

It works for me... your question asks for opinions on "best" and "quality." I think you need to read the text online and see the shots. That said, I like the Raynox 6600 (52mm) because of low barrel distortion. Sharpness is not THE best, but the trade off works for me. You may not agree.
