Does anyone know where to purchase an affordable replacement lcd screen for the casio exilim s770, I got a quote but it was $50 less than the camera new, I would hate to buy a cheaper camera to replace it, but that appears to be the only option?

New replacement part costs are typically as much as the camera is worth at the time. I would look for one on eBay with a broken lens, and then use the screen. Broken lenses are the most common problems with cameras, so you should be able to find one.

My recommendation would be to just swap your good lens into the camera. A lens assembly swap is very easy. I'm not sure about the S770, but a lot of other Casio LCD's require soldering, and some other disassembly. Even if the case is bad, you can just replace it with your case.

Thanks for the tip on the lens assembly replacement instead of lcd, nice!

Any pointers on how to replace the lens assembly on a Casio EX-S500 ?

Thank you
