Casio Kaput??

Hi
I managed to inadvertently connect the wrong power supply to my Exilim EX-Z700.
Now, after buying a new charger, the battery seems to charge OK but the camera doesn't switch on and gets quite warm after 1/2 hr, which seems to point to a short in the power section of the camera.
Any ideas as to whether it's worth fixing, or is it a bin job?
