I believe that the only difference between the Z50/Z55 is the LCD size, right? Yet, when Steve reviewed the Z50, he writes
"Overall the image quality when using 5-megapixel Fine mode was good." whereas with the Z55 he writes "image quality was excellent"??? Aside from the LCD, they both share the same lenses and photo processing, right?

You are pretty much correct in that the 2" 85k pixel LCD vs the 2.5" 115k pixel LCD are indeed the primary differences of note. Perhaps Steve can explain any other differences or why the apparent difference in verbiage he chose.

In regards to the Z55, was he also making the same comparison in the "fine" mode? I'm not sure, but I am sure that Steve usually chooses his wording pretty carefullysothere's probably a reason behind the distinction. He'll probably respond to you. After a while, I guesshe reviews so much stuff that it's hard to keep precise track of verbiage for each camera and it might be possible some different words could have been used to essentially say the same thing. Steve?
