Trying to figure out if you can enable the Flash whilst recording videos.

Im thinking it would help if the flash could be set ON (permanently ON) whilst recording video. Would be helpful at night.

No flashdevice to my knowledge can be set permanently on like a spotlight; the voltage requirements are too great, needing time to build up to make such a powerful burst of light. Better to have an auxilliary stationary of portable source of light for video. Check out Best buy, etc. for inexpensive portable lighting.

and a battery pack from Pep Boys auto store I am good to go for most mobile video applications, but this setup is designed for a camcorder.

at bhphotovideo.com i saw a external flash that you screw into your tripod for ~$30..i dont have the exact link tho
