I just got a casio ex-z750 and I noted that when zooming out it makes an audible click sound. Something like teeth on a gear slipping. Then as it reaches full zoom you hear a smaller click-stop. I think the later is normal but zooming back to normal position, you can hear this big click sound again. It seems to only appear during un-zoomed to zoom.

Is this normal? Like a microswitch, or is this indeed a lens mechanizim bug/damage problem? Maybe someone pulled it out hard?

The zoom on mine doesn't have any loud clicks in or out. You may want to bring it back to the dealer and compare it with a display model if possible or check a display model from any store nearby that carries them if you got yours by mail. I do hear mechanical noises when zooming but they are not alarmingly loud. The machanical noise produced during lens barrel extention when the cam is turned on is louder than the zooming function.

Clicking noises while zooming are not normal. If it continues, it could easily cause a lens error. I would return that camera if possible.
