My cousin has a Casio EX-Z40. So I was taking pictures with it while it was on low battery, and then the screen just went black because it had run out of battery. But the lens was still open, and remained open. and when I try to charge it, it won't charge! :/ The cradle thing has a green light which will light up when it's charging, but it's not lighting up.

What should I do?

Basically, it's out like this right now :

And I can't take any images, I can't turn it off or anything.

Please help!

Try this:

Remove the battery for 24-48hrs

Place the battery back into the camera without a memory card then rapidly press the on/off key.

If that doesn't work try turning it on by using the green arrow button and see if it will power up in PLAY mode. If it doesn't it could mean the lens jumpped out of alignment with the camera.
