Hi Donna,

Nice close up of a beast found on your car. Better than IN your car!

Exposure and also the expression and position of this insect is cool.

Colours caught are nice... except I see there is a difference in whites between a)the part of "white" between it's legs and it's body and b) that OUTSIDE it. I guess an outcome of some editting you did?

Also a shame you cut off some of it's legs, etc.

thanks for sharing

Paul

Nice one Donna. I have often heard about a Praying Mantis, but as we don't have it here in Denmark (I think) I have never seen one before. How big are they and why did Imaginat write "as if you or I would touch him!!"? Is it poisonous or does it bite ?

Regards Jorn

I have never been bitten by one, but I hear they do bite. And someone said "they kill hummingbirds"! And they can fly a bit too...so altogether nasty, but necessary to our envoirment. Donna

It is very rare for a mantis to kill a bird, they eat bugs and very small rodents, they are non agressive to people. A godsend in your garden.
