Hello! I don't often post on this forum. But I wanted to share this photo with you "close up" people... to see if any of you can help identify this flower... and to get your general comments, about the composition, DOF, etc.

I really love this little flower... especially the patterns and symmetry displayed and of course the great vibrant blend of bright colours!!! From memory the whole "nature-given colourful flower petal arrangement" was about 5cm in diameter... it's really a small flower!

Would love your comments and / feedback. Thanks.

Paul

pj1974, this is a really wonderful shot of the "unknown" flower. Love the colors this little flower has to show off in close up. Good job.

Mandy.

I got a similar one as follows. The plant is called Lantana, the scientific name being Lantana camara. It is a member of Verbenaceae. Leaves and stems can be boiled in water for treating Athletic Foot. There are a variety ofspecies with different coloured flowers and they are much cultivatedin Hong Kong for amenity purposes, so commonly found in open field.
