Default What Is It?

See if you can guess, before you go to the second post in this thread, where I have posted the full object. No biggie thing, this, but I am just amazed at the crispness of the EF 100 f2.8 Macro lens. Sharp as a tack, and this isn't showing off its' best stuff, but I thought that it was interesting in any event. It doesn't take much to entertain me.

Ok - here's the full image. For those even slower than I am, the object from which I took the close-up is just slightly right of center here. The first image was a crop of an area about 1/4" to 3/8" across, which I then up-sampled to 800 dpi x ? in Photoshop. I have down-sampled this image to 800 dpi x ?.
