I rented a Canon 24-105 F4L IS lens for my XTI, and while visiting in the New Orleans area, I took this shot of a flowering hibiscus and many others, hand-held. I was curious about the reality of IS lenses and the quality of the "L" series. Well, I'm convinced that they're worth it; all I need now is the money to buy them and I'll be set. I used to have a steady hand, but I'm losing the touch....blame it on age, I guess. Bob from Wisconsin

Nice flower picture. Yes, the EF 24-105mm L IS USM is a great lens. You can do really heavy cropping and still get nice results. IS in the lens itself is great

I love my IS lenes I have two of them! A 300mm f4 L IS and a 28-135mm USM IS. I love them. I especally like the "L" quality!! If you can affort it the L is worth it.
