Hey Guys, new to the hobby and i mentioned in another forum that i bought a macro filter which works decent till i save for a real macro lens. Anyhow i took a few shots and wanted to see what you guys think. It was taken with my D40 and kit lens:

Also i edit 2 of them to print and wanted you gusy to give me your thoughts on it, weather to print originals or these:

The inexpensive kit lens for the D40 does very well, imo. I'm mostly impressed with the soft lighting which favored your shots. Using a plus lens to achieve macro is certainly a valid and rewarding technique as long as you can work with the near distance it requires. As for which shot to print you'll have to be the judge but I favor the natural look.
