On one of the passion flower vines ("Amethyst"} my wife bought to supplement the generic ones being stripped by the Fritillary caterpillars.

Love the passies! And the frit cates will eat them to all nubbin!

Since you are in, I assume, zone 9, most any variety will be hardy for you year round.
Often times you can get cuttings free (all different sorts) for the asking in Garden Web.
Just visit the passion vine section. :-)

Anything that you have that is an incarnata, or caerulea hybrid will become cate food.
So plant lots of those as your sacrificial lambs. Your garden will bloom with butterflies - and pretty passies :-)
